TV & Promo

TV and sports promo voice over that drives tune-in

Network promos, fight cards, tunnel walks, recap shows and TV narration — the same promo instinct built on 135+ radio stations, delivered to broadcast spec.

Promo energy without the shouting

TV promo work is the closest cousin to radio imaging, and that's where Dave's promo read comes from: the ability to make a 20-second piece feel like an event without turning it into noise. Network promos, sports promos, show opens, recap-show packaging and streaming pre-rolls are all delivered from the same broadcast-ready studio, to whatever spec your post house or traffic system needs.

The credits tell the story better than adjectives. The CW, DirecTV, Outdoor Channel and Paramount on the network side; UFC 229 and Zuffa Boxing fight promos; Nebraska Cornhuskers football and volleyball; Minnesota Gophers, UConn Huskies and the Houston Dynamo; Midco Sports Network's Summit League coverage. Promo questions

What's the difference between a promo read and a commercial read?

A promo sells tune-in, not a product. It has to carry urgency — this game, this night, this channel — without tipping into the hard-sell tone of a retail spot. Dave's promo work comes out of radio imaging, where that energy is the whole job.

Can you deliver to broadcast spec?

Yes. Say what your traffic or post house needs — sample rate, bit depth, file type, naming — and it's delivered that way. Standard is 48 kHz/24-bit WAV for TV, but anything is fine.

Do you do live direction for promo sessions?

Yes, over Source Connect Pro. Producers can hear the read as it's recorded and call the takes. For a fast-moving sports schedule, most clients send the script and a reference and get finished files back the same day.

Can you do the play-by-play style sports promo?

That's a lot of the sports work: Nebraska volleyball and football promos, Husker tunnel walks (Nebraska vs. USC, Nebraska vs. Michigan), a Pro Big Red football recap promo, Midco Sports Network's Summit League coverage and Paramount's UFC and Zuffa Boxing promos are all in the demo library.
