Narration

Narration that holds attention start to finish

Corporate, industrial, documentary, e-learning and product narration — read by someone who understands the material, delivered split and named to your storyboard.

Warm at minute one, still warm at minute forty

Narration is the discipline of not going flat. A commercial read has thirty seconds to make an impression; a narration has to hold attention through an entire training module, product walkthrough or documentary hour and still sound like a person at the end. That's the work: corporate and industrial narration for Caterpillar and Whirlpool, technology branding for HP Aruba, racing documentaries (Survive the 25, Pikes Peak Run for Ducati), outdoor programming (Outback Hunters, Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors, Dead Ringer Hunting), and a reading of Copland's Lincoln Portrait for a historical presentation.

Dave's own background — electrical engineering study, eight years as a firefighter, two years of sheriff's-department dive search and recovery, and a radio career that started at 15 — shows up in the read. Technical material gets read like someone who understands it. Gravity gets read like someone who has been in the room.

Narration questions

How long a script can you handle in one session?

Long-form is the point of narration work. Corporate training modules, a full documentary episode, a 40-page technical script — all fine. Files are delivered split by section or chapter, named to your storyboard, so editing is straightforward.

Can you match an existing narrator or house style?

Usually, yes. Send a reference clip. Dave will tell you honestly if the match isn't going to work before you book the session.

Do you do e-learning and IVR-style instructional reads?

Yes — clear, even-paced, easy to follow across a long module, with pronunciation guides handled up front so technical terms and product names are right every time.

Can we direct a long session remotely?

Source Connect Pro for live direction, or self-directed with pickups. For long scripts most clients do the first section directed to lock the tone, then let the rest run.
